- The file "SETUPCB.BAT" is a batch file written to make up all
- of the subdirectories required for PCBoard, and to move all of the
- files into the correct subdirectory. It is set up to take all 3 of
- the ARC files needed (PCBSUP, PCBRD, PCBHLP), un-arc them, then unsqueeze
- and extract all files. It will then move all of the files into the
- correct directories. This should save a lot of time and trouble
- setting up the files, as one of the most common errors is not haveing
- the files in the right place.
- To start, you should make the directory "PCB" (md pcb). You
- should then put all 3 arc files in this directory. You will also need
- the files "mv.exe", "arce.com" and "lue210.com". If you
- have renamed these files, just change their name in the batch file.
- These files should also be in the PCB dir.
-
- Your file directory should look something like this:
-
- Volume in drive A has no label
- Directory of A:\PCB
-
- . <DIR> 10-10-85 9:49a
- .. <DIR> 10-10-85 9:49a

- The files marked (#) are required to be in this directory.
- >> make sure that the PCB file names are the same as in the .BAT file!
- To start, all you have to do is type: makepcb <RTN>, and the
- batch file will do all of the rest for you. You should be left with
- something like the following when done:
-
-
- Volume in drive A has no label
- Directory of A:\PCB
-
- . <DIR> 10-10-85 9:49a

- PCBoard should run almost immediatly, AFTER you set up the parameters
- in the PCBOARD.DAT file to match your system. Lines that you must change
- are: 5,6,7,16 thru 22. (if you are already using drive C, you will not
- have to change all of them, but 20-22 will probably have to be changed.
- For test/setup purposes, you can put any existing drive/path in 22, or
- you can make a dummy subdirectory. Although it should run at this point,
- it will depend on your exact hardware setup, and before going on line
- you will have to make or copy from the existing rbbs (or other) files
- such as the menus and dirs and rename them to PCBoard format. If you do
- not have any graphics files yet for color, just copy the regular file
- over to the same name + G, this will get you going.
